Time to Tackle food waste with Envirohub

Wednesday 3rd June 6.30pm – 8.30pm

What’s left in YOUR fridge tonight? Let’s look at reducing food waste by assessing what food gets wasted in your house and finding ways to create delicious meals from that before it gets wasted.

Presentation by Envirohub BOP specialist Hannah Cousar to help you understand the food waste problem we have, followed by comments from local kai resiliance advocates and a round table question and answer session to finish up. We’ll be following up to get some feedback on what delicious meals you have made!

Start today by jotting down what’s in your fridge one night of each week in May. Then bring that along to our in-person event to learn ways to win with your waste.

Free event. REGISTRATIONS ARE ESSENTIAL.

Get Up and (Van) Gogh Artspiration for Adults with Too damn lippy

Wednesdays 9 am – 10am

Hour long creative exercise sessions for your imagination, which do not focus on your level of skill, or the quality of your output, what is important is the enjoyment and mindfulness you will find in the process.

These sessions are an absolute passion project of mine, borne from the strong desire to give our community art as a useful tool in the betterment of mental health and wellbeing.

Every week I put together creatively engaging exercises with simple materials, which will sometimes push you outside of your comfort zone, but should no matter what allow your brain to become deeply absorbed into a state of mindfulness, and ultimately leaving you feeling a sense of calm, even joyfulness, by the end of the session.
Attendance is on a casual basis, so there is no need for a whole term of commitment, just come as you are able.

No matter your skill set, if you are aged 15-109 you are warmly welcome to join us!
