An Open Invitation to Artists
With the closing of Piccalo Café (and we hope the team are doing okay), something unexpected and beautiful has begun to happen. Artists have started naturally gravitating toward the space, bringing sketchbooks, paints, clay, ideas, conversations, and creative energy back into the heart of The Arts Village.
So we’re making it official.
The Cottage Gallery is now open to artists every day from 9am–2pm, free of charge.
Bring your art gear. Bring your unfinished project. Bring your good vibes.
Whether you paint, draw, write, stitch, sculpt, design, or simply need a creative place to think, this space is for you. No bookings, no pressure, no cost, just a warm, welcoming environment to create alongside other artists and creative souls.
Come for an hour or stay longer. Make art, share ideas, meet fellow creatives, and help fill the space with colour, conversation, and possibility.
Sometimes when one door closes, creativity opens another.

Spring Mosaic Magic

Get stuck into something creative? Create a mosaic masterpiece with local artist Donna Ross. Join in, for a fun, hands-on introduction, play with colour and texture. No experience needed

We’re bringing you a night of bingo, beautiful plants, pottery, art, prizes, botanical drinks and a few very questionable plastic plants thrown in for good measure. Expect six rounds of bingo, prizes that get bigger and better as the night goes on, delicious drinks, optional individual graze boxes and a MEGA Plant Bingo finale with a prize worth fighting for! Get Up and (Van) Gogh Artspiration for Adults with Too damn lippy
Wednesday 9 am – 10am
Every week I put together creatively engaging exercises with simple materials, which will sometimes push you outside of your comfort zone, but should no matter what allow your brain to become deeply absorbed into a state of mindfulness, and ultimately leaving you feeling a sense of calm, even joyfulness, by the end of the session.
Attendance is on a casual basis, so there is no need for a whole term of commitment, just come as you are able.
