Holiday Arts Academy at The Arts Village

Holiday Arts Academy: April 2021

In the April holidays we are running two awesome 4-day programmes where young artists (8-12 yrs) will learn new skills, make new friends, try new materials, and create cool art to take home.

Block One: Tuesday 20th to 23rd April
This four day programme is all about painting – learning different styles including open air, abstract, still life, and watercolour. Over the 4 days young artists will explore different painting techniques and work on a number of projects, building up to painting a full-size canvas painting on the final day to take home.

Block Two: Tuesday 27th to 30th April
Our second four day programme is focused on 3D creation skills – using different skills including papier mache, layering, fabric, and prop fabrication. Over the 4 days young artists will work on different elements of creature creation to make a fully realised 3D creature from their imagination to take home, it could be a unicorn, robot, dragon, or something else entirely.

Our program is taught by local artist and educator Maui Riley, and provides a stimulating environment for nurturing young creatives. The blocks run Tuesday to Friday, from 9am – 3pm each day.

12:1 Supervision Ratio
Cost: $120 per week
Enrolments not received for single days.
