The Arts Village run events throughout the year- art markets, festivals, floor talks, art networking events, music performances, and community events including fun art activities for the whole whānau.
Annually, The Arts Village hosts an artist residency over summer, Holiday Arts Academy for tamariki during the school holidays, Art in the Park in the Government Gardens, and Summer Festival in December.
Holiday Arts Academy: Sept/Oct
In the Sept/October school holidays we are running two weeks of awesome 4-day programmes where young artists (8-12 years) will learn new skills, make new friends, try new materials, and create cool art to take home. Our holiday program provides a stimulating environment for nurturing young creatives. The Holiday Arts Academy runs from Tuesday to Friday, from 9am – 3pm each day.
12:1 Supervision Ratio.
Cost: $30 per day per child.
Materials are supplied but BYO kai, sunscreen/hat, & drink bottle.
Koanga Markets 2023
28th October, 9am- 3pm Our Koanga spring market is making its way back to The Arts Village Green in October! Local artists are invited to sell their handmade wares and artwork. We will have live music performances, waiata, free art activities, food stalls and hopefully great weather! A great market day out for all the whānau. Support local artisans this Kōanga (spring), right when they need it most

The 200 Show 2023
The 200 Show is an art show which aims to showcase local artists in a fun way, giving opportunity to both emerging and established artists to experiment & grow their practice. It is free to join and easy to enter! This also gives art lovers the opportunity to purchase works by local artists in a wide range of media, conveniently timed just before Christmas.
Ukulele Classes with Jane Solly

Join experienced musician and tutor Jane Solly for Adults Ukulele Classes at The Arts Village. Enjoy stress free, fun and easy Ukulele lessons. Absolute Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced levels available.
