The Arts Village run events throughout the year- art markets, festivals, floor talks, art networking events, music performances, and community events including fun art activities for the whole whānau.
Annually, The Arts Village hosts an artist residency over summer, Holiday Arts Academy for tamariki during the school holidays, Art in the Park in the Government Gardens, and Summer Festival in December.
The 200 Show is an art show which aims to showcase local artists in a fun way, giving opportunity to both emerging and established artists to experiment & grow their practice. It is free to join and easy to enter! This also gives art lovers the opportunity to purchase works by local artists in a wide range of media, conveniently timed just before Christmas.
Saturday 27th January, 10am- 1pm, Nearing the end of summer, we have a free music event for you to enjoy and to celebrate and showcase our local musicians, add the date to your calendar.

Art in the Park 2024 is a free-to-attend arts market and festival that has been running in this beautiful spot for well over 20 years and has heaps to see, do, and enjoy. On Sunday 11th of February, local artists and creators will be displaying their work in the beautiful Government Gardens.
Rotorua’s iconic free family-friendly arts market event with lots of art stalls, demonstrations, live music, a free kids activity and some choice coffee and yummy food. Set in the idyllic Government Gardens this event is one not to be missed and a great day out!
